Create your account

This page takes you from the dashboard sign-up page to an active account. It is step 1 of the First environment track. You need a work email address and an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy.

Register

Open the dashboard sign-up page and enter your work email and a password. Your email address is your username.

The password needs at least 16 characters. It cannot contain your username or email address, and it cannot repeat any of your last 5 passwords. There is no rule for upper case, digits or symbols.

Set up two-factor authentication

After you register, a separate page asks you to set up an authenticator app. You cannot skip it. Scan the QR code with your app. If you cannot scan it, select Unable to scan? to see the secret key to type in instead. Enter the 6-digit code from the app to finish registration.

Verify your email

PolicyArc sends an email with the subject Verify your PolicyArc email. Open the link in it. The link lasts 1 hour.

Name your workspace

The first time you sign in, the dashboard asks you to Create your workspace. Enter your organization's name under Organization name and select Create workspace. The name needs at least 2 characters.

Wait for activation

We have not run this step end to end yet.

A new account starts as pending. The Environments page shows Your account is being activated and tells you that your plan starts when the account is active. You cannot create an environment until then. A PolicyArc admin activates the account. You cannot speed this up from the dashboard.

When the account is active, each person with the Admin role on your account gets an email with the subject Your PolicyArc account is ready and a Create your environment button. People with other roles do not get it.
